At the Planning Corner of Land-Use and Water: Texas Edition (12pm/noon Central, 1pm Eastern)
Water is essential to life in both the natural environment and the built environment. The Water and Planning Network was recently launched by the American Planning Association as an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and planning methods to develop an integrated approach to water management, known as “One Water” management, through land use, land development, and urban design. This webinar is the first of a series which focuses on the interaction of land use and water management planning in various areas of the country. The initial webinar will focus on the One Water efforts in Texas, as well as how the cities of Georgetown and Austin have, and will, integrate water and planning.
