Food Power: Working with academics to tackle food poverty
Whether collaborating on needs assessments, qualitative or quantitative research, programme evaluation or student placements, there are a many ways to food partnerships and academics can work together. In some areas, researchers are key members of the alliance, while elsewhere collaboration may be a one-off project with a single researcher.

Maddy from York will discuss the pros and cons of academics leading food poverty alliances, accessing University funding, and the importance of research vs. practice in alliance development. Joe and Val from Middlesbrough will talk about the opportunities and mutual benefits to researchers, students and food partnerships that have arisen as a result of collaborative working. And Rebecca from Food Exeter will highlight how co-producing knowledge can strengthen the status and reach of findings.
