Food and enterprise: meals on wheels services and community food businesses from around the globe
Join us to hear from two Churchill Fellows about their recent research trips exploring enterprising food initiatives.

  • How can an enterprising approach be taken across public sector, social enterprise and community initiatives?
  • What is the impact for beneficiaries and the wider food system?
  • What can government, councils, funders and others do to help initiatives to succeed and grow?
Jo Heywood visited community food enterprises in Bolivia and Peru and will share lessons for how to support UK community food enterprise to develop and grow.

Simon Shaw will share learning from different models of meals on wheels services in France, Italy and South Korea and the wider response to household food insecurity.

Caroline Diehl MBE, another 2019 Churchill Fellow, will facilitate the Q&A and reflections on the presentations.
